The Principle and Application of Tray Dryer

The tray dryers are also called cabinet dryers. There are horizontally arranged trays and the material is spread out on that trays for drying. The air is heated using conduction or radiation and inserted into the trays. The heated air is useful to remove the moist vapors.

Principle:

The dryer chamber contains trays which are horizontally arranged in a column. The wet material to be placed on these trays in thin layers and with the use of circulating fan, the heated air is inserted vertically on the trays. The exhaust fan removes the wet air out of the chamber as fresh air is inserted. The air is equally distributed within the dryer with perforated plywood floor. The air does not bypass from the trays as they tightly fit into the cabinet.

Application:

The tray dryers are commonly used to dry food materials and it will dry on the food on the base of food type and the desired final moisture. Normally, it will take 10 or even 20 hours to dry the wet food products.

Fluid Bed Dryer Works on Fluidization


Introduction

Fluid bed dryer is widely used by pharmaceutical, chemical and foodstuff industries. It is used to dry materials with hot air and the process are called fluidization. The fluid bed dryer is constructed using S.S. 304 quality stainless steel material. The machine contains a horizontal bed where the fluid is lying for fluidization.

How it works?

In fluid bed dryer, the hot air inserted into the container using air blower. The air is heated using steam or gas at the bottom of the machine. As the air heated the material, it moves and expands in the container at a certain velocity and retain the turbulence in the product. The heat transfer is extremely high and uniform and the product dried fast without appreciable loss of heat.

Silent Features of Sparkler Filter Press and Zero Hold up Filter Press


Both sparkler filter and zero hold up filter presses are used to solid liquid separation. The constructions of both machines are same.  But they have different working mechanism. The sparkler filter press is also known as horizontal filter press because there are horizontally arranged plates in filter cartridge assembly. The zero hold up filter press known as reverse flow zero hold up filter press because it works in reverse manner compare to sparkler filter press. The machines have some important parts used in filtration process are as follows.

Working:

The plate and frame filter press is manufactured using high quality stainless steel and material. It is designed to remove the liquids from liquid solid slurry and particularly suitable for low solids. The structure of plate and frame filter press is fully designed with pump and pipe lines connected with each other. The liquid is entered at the bottom of the press with giving pressure using pump. The liquids travel the path which has filter media inserted between the plates. There is a gap between plates and now it is filled with liquid slurry, as the liquids passes through the filter media and travels up to outlet port of the press. This liquid is pure and the solid remains between the plates.

Introduction of Sparkler Filter Press



Construction

The sparkler filter press is made with high quality stainless steel. The top part of machine has covered using bolts. This part is used to create and maintain the pressure on filter press. There is a filter cartridge assembly inside the shell and it consists of several horizontally arranged disc type filter plates. So, the machine is also called horizontal filter press. The plates consists perforated supporting screens, filter media, interlocking cups. The whole machine is constructed with pump and pipe lines and stands on stainless steel trolley.

Working

In this filter press, the impure liquid is fed from bottom inlet with high pressure and it arrives into central part of the machine. The liquids go to top of each plate and the filter plates clear the liquids. The clear filtrate then flows to the outlet. With this machine you can get 100% filtration of liquids which not so with standard flow type.
